SCHWALBE tyres overview...
Seems to be a few questions about the different types of tyres. I've found that bike24.de carries all the variants and ships globally.
The catalogue should address these questions (pages 68 and 69 are of particular interest).

I'm a cheap bastard and go with the greenguard only as they run €15/tyre.
Pages 68 and 69 below.

He's not even joking. This is his actual opinion that he's more than happy to throw out there to get a rise out of anyone he can.
Hell, he's got it in his bio under his avatar.
The most intolerant hate filled person on the site.

In this thread, I was initially being self-deprecating in response to the response to the OP. If you can't see that, then I can't help you.
You also need to dial the hate toward me down a notch or two. Thank you very much and have a nice evening.

Having spent a fair amount of time living (and biking) in the EU, I actually agree.
Except I agree with all your point here.
I will be curious to test some tires and see how they hold up to the local road hazards, though.
Drop bars aren't for commuting.
(I think we have the arguing covered now!)

Drop do make sense in some situations.
Again, it was self-depricating humour

I replaced my drop bars with crazy bars. I run Schwalbe Marathon Mondial tires on Velocity Psycho rims. I am not cheap and run the more expensive variant for better flat resistance. I liked Europe when I was in the military and am working on going back for an extended bike trip.

- What is (a) crazy bar(s)?
- I'm always after the priceerformance ratio.
- I find that getting a flat isn't the end of the world, it usually forces me to stop and have a pint.

Schwalbe's tire naming convention is confusing to say the least, and many online sites seem to be a bit imprecise about what tire you're actually buying. This catalog is quite helpful, thanks for the link.
