Pedals vs. Saddles
Rather than doing a thread where we argue the merits of different versions of the same components, how about we argue the merits of totally different components?
I prefer pedals because once I got a seat stolen, and I was able to ride the bike to the LBS by standing up. I would have had to walk it if my pedals had gotten stolen.

Pedals because I once broke a seat post bolt and was able to ride standing up to a hardware store where I was able to purchase a stopgap solution, which is also why I like money.

How about combining technologies and be able to clip into our saddles and adjust crankarm lengths with flip of a lever?

Very much sucks. Especially if the pedals are (were) vintage Odyssey Shark Bites with purple ano'ed cages.
