Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm also not at all sure I want to get on any airplanes this summer.

Airplanes at this point are prolly cleaner than any other public place.

Friend of mine just flew up from DFW. Huge plane. Maybe 15 people on the flight.

The planes are getting completely wiped down and cleaned after each leg, which is what I was referring too.

See, this would be the ideal time for me to fly... half my issues are from being crammed in tight with other people for it. Just nowhere to go...

They are closed spaces full of people without masks. Dirty surfaces don't really concern me.

I think at least American requires masks at all times (presumably excluding meals).

They all say they are, but compliance is poor and there is no enforcement.

As part of the re-opening the church I go to is doing stuff like cleaning carpet and changing sinks. The sinks were old anyway, so whatever, but I'm thinking the airborne particles are way more important for virus transmission than what kind of faucet the bathroom sinks have.

This is not to say it doesn't happen, but at least to my limited knowledge, there has not been a single proven case of fomite transmission of COVID-19.

The Maya Riviera is opening soon. They have their issues in the best of times. But, money talks.

I remember that from high school, around 1969-70. I was at a school which was 45% Latino.
