Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Chain skip rear derailleur

Minor crash broke my rear derailleur hanger. Replaced hanger and now chain jump from 4-5-6. Gears 1-2-3 and 7-8-9 okay. Adjusting tension causes the skip to move somewhat. I can’t seem to adjust skip out.

2X9 Shimano 105 road bike, Any ideas? Thanks J/B

Maybe the new hanger is slightly out of alignment?

A crash severe enough to break a derailleur hanger could also bend the derailleur
