Slingshot Stems

Hey all just got my hands on a freebee slingshot stem with some townie hanldebars. Am waiting for the perfect bike to put them on (think chome Ross, mongoose or Diamond back,GT) Anyhow you folks are the best inspiration and I’d love to see pics of your ride with similar setup.

I've got one of those stems- My secret plan involved sanding the clamps enough to fit a set of drop bars in there.

It never got past dry fitting the bars... Hanging up in the garage.

I have one too but have yet to decide which bike it should go on. And I've been debating for a few years now.

If you like you can send it to me and I’ll show you how cool it looks on a GT or DBack....

Thanks!
I like Mother's aluminum polish for alloy, for steel parts I use Turtle Wax chrome polish after the 'ol aluminum foil rub. Available pretty much anywhere auto cleaning supplies are sold.

Man, I should get one of these for my Colin Laing tandem! I could use my seat tube reamer to make the holes big enough to take road bars. It would be epic early '80s funk.

How to put a decaleur on it, though...

I have half a dozen or more in my vintage MTB stash. I can’t find enough frames to put them on. Yet I keep buying more.
