Can anyone ID this Astro-Diamler?
This older A-D showed up at the local Co-op. Can anyone give me some idea of what frame this might be, possibly what tubing? Unfortunately this looks to have been repainted, and most if not all of the components have been replaced, but you can see the Campy dropouts and nice long-point lugs.
I appreciate any help- Thanks.

It has Camapgnolo Portacatena dropouts which indicate no older than 1978 model year. Modern end is circa 1982-1983, depending on how much stock of these dropouts were on hand. Given the dropouts and Campagnolo SR headset, I'd expect one of the top models, with some variant of Reynolds 531.

I would a agree it was a top end model circa 80-82 the campy parts and frame set are original everything else component are basically cheaper replacements downgrades so the specific model doesn't matter much. Given the miss matched lesser wheels with bad tires, horrible set up the question backwards bars cheap incorrect break levers over raised stem junk pedals, cheap seat and just general neglected dirty shape of the bike, I would say pass if you buying. It wouldn't make sense to buy this bike for much more than $150 or so and the seller likely wants more than that.

Thanks to both, esp. T-Mar for his generosity with his knowledge. Yes, the bike is a mess, but would be stripped down to the frame and rebuilt. The Co-op asked if I could find any info on the bike, as I've had some good luck via these forums.
Thanks guys!

If the coop has some of needed stuff this one would be worth fixing up figure nicely fixed up completely clean ready to ride with appropriate components it's $400-500 bike. This is why it always nice when asking for value for people to give use location and selling buying situation on bikes. As a coop with some resources fix up wise this one is a great build with a lot o potential for a individual it would be a total money pit.

Since it's a co-op bicycle, pull the seat post and verify the size. If it's properly sized for the seat tube and is in the 27.0-27.2mm range, that would confirm one of the Reynolds 531DB tubesets.

Thanks again, T-Mar.
And yes, the plan is for the Co-op to be able to rebuilt this appropriately.
