What model of 1957 Schwinn is this?
So I have this old Schwinn coaster bike I found in my Father-in-Laws garage. It has a serial number of 7020094 on the rear axle drop out, which when I looked it up lists the bike as Chicago built in 1957.
I can not confirm the model, maybe an "American?" The head-badge looks to be from 1986, based on the pictures I see in this forum. Also, from what I can tell the bike may have been repainted, new stickers added, a different seat, handle bars, a BMX handle bar stem, etc.
Anyone want to make wild guess on the model?

I don't believe the bike is from 1957; Schwinn didn't use unicrown forks until much later.
The photos are too small to be of much use, but my guess it's one of the "Cruiser" models with the retro cantilever frame imported from Asia in the 1980s.

It looks like a 1985 or newer Schwinn Cruiser in Sky Blue:
Those bikes were made for Schwinn by Giant in Taiwan. If you can post larger pictures of the whole bike along with close-up pics of the numbers on the dropout and the headbadge (usually next to the letter "i" in Schwinn) we can give a much more positive ID.

Yup, a 1980's Schwinn, lots of signs of this. The serial number comes up that way because by the Giant years they used a different system. There should be numbers imprinted on the headbadge to tell the exact year.
