Too tall for me and I have projects in the works:

Tall Men's Trek Road Bike - $150 (Minneapolis MN)

Date: 2010-03-15, 8:26AM CDT
Reply to: sale-bypcz-1644081218@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?]

I am selling my father's old Trek road bike. It is (estimate) an early 80's frame. The bike is 24 in. so definitely for a rider 6 ft or taller. 12 speed, brakes, gears, chain in good shape, new tires. The frame is nice 022 Ishiwata CrMo and pretty light for its size.

The bike was ridden regularly inside on a trainer for the past 10 years or so.

The paint is chipping in the rear, the only real problem with the bike.

Please Email if you are interested.

Torelli Corsa Strada frame from the late 80's(?).

Hand built Columbus steel, 57 cm. Original Italian paint has many chips, given the 25 year age of the frame, but no dings to the tubes. In solid condition.
Included with the frame are Campagnolo headset and bottom bracket, plus modern steel fork. Also included is seat post and Torelli embroidered seat.

Also available, Campagnolo 7 speed index downtube shifters and rear derailleur frame the same era. $30

I wouldn't let the Swiss threading scare you: the BB is easily solved with a one-time purchase of a Phil Wood BB with Swiss rings (that should last a lifetime) and the fork is just French, not that hard to find a HS and really you only need the top cup and locknut to be FR, all the rest can be ISO. If I didn't already have an Allegro, I'd be tempted (again) to get this one...oh, and the money and space issues

That Torelli is a decent deal... assuming those chip's aren't serious or look like it's been through 3 seasons of bike polo.

This bike is in very good condition. I reran the lines and retaped the bars. Dialed in very nicely and has a smooth classic steel frame ride. It is a 60 cm triple butted frame with a magnesium steel fork. The drivetrain and wheels are nothing special, just shimano no name but they are all in good condition. Replaced the saddle with a nice san marco. It is a great deal for someone into steel frames.

Schwinn Tempo 53cm road bike - $200 (downtown area)

I'm trying to sell my late 80's Schwinn Tempo. It's in great shape and has only had about 100 miles on it since I bought it. I've had it tuned up and it has basically new tires and tubes. I used it for a few road rides, but it's a very comfortable bike and would be a great commuter. Has complete Shimano 105 grouping and Biopace chainring. I'm 5'7 and it fits me perfectly. I wouldn't suggest this bike for some one under 5'5. It's getting nice outside again so get out your cars and get on a bike!! Trying to sell this by thursday, if possible, because I need some cash. I also have some pursuit bullhorns, an unbuilt 650c rim, oversized riser bars(cut kinda short), and some pink double clips. Just make me an offer if interested in those. Email me and I will quickly get back to you. Thanks!!!

Super sweet frame for sure, and the components won't let you down. If it was in Minneapolis I'd have bought this yesterday.

Glad to be of service.

Perhaps I should have posted about the awesome Pegoretti that's on Serotta right now instead.

Nah, isn't your size anyway.

I won't comment on that, but seeing that ad has brought out my latest mini-rant:
Since when did wheels come to be called "RIMS"?
I see this more and more on Craigslist ads (which isn't too surprising, I guess, it's sometimes a wonder if they are in plain English)...I know that's been acceptable slang for car wheels for ages, but this isn't about CARS!
It's driving me up it...again...
I'm sure our guy in Fresno may be referring to just the actual rims and not the entire wheel, but c'mon: how many ads do you see for rims and you click on it and see a picture of pair of wheels?
i'm done, now....

So what's your ruling on this one? This photo is from Kurt's Coral Ridge Mall show thread...yes, a bicycle show/swap in a mall...now that's something to rant about!

now that's one case where perfectly appropriate to call it a "Rim"
Actually looks like it could be a Cragar...

Too big for me.
https://toronto.en.craigslist.ca/tor/bik/1647599395.html
1981 Raleigh Record

I got this bike last year with the intention of stripping this down and making a nice fixie, no time to get this project off the ground, maybe someone else will. Front wheel is flat, rear wheel ok. all original drive train components, and i have the original front brake not shown in the picture.
frame measurements: top tube : 54cm, Seat tube : 56 cm

$75 firm

Can figure out how to get the images in here

don't email me and ask me if it's vintage because i don't cycle with wine in my water bottle
