Raleigh Record Vintage Road Bike - $115 (Lexington)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
12 Speed Raleigh Record road bike with comfortable upright handlebars. 25" / 63.5 mm frame fits a rider in the 6'2" to 6'6" range. Lugged steel Raleigh 502 frame. Silver with blue trim. Light alloy wheels, rear rack., aluminum fenders, kickstand. Comfortable seat with springs and padding. Rides great, good for riding around campus or the neighborhood. Horizontal dropouts and bolt-on wheels make this a good bike to convert to fixed-gear or single speed.Good condition with reliable Suntour components, new chain, upgraded pedals and wheels.

Sweet nishiki!
https://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac...387495558.html

Boy oh boy have i got the bike for you! So Its 54 cm Its a Nashiki Meridian, Its Blue its got shimano cranks and a 46 tooth chain ring, its got a 26 front rim for the bar spins of course and a 700 c Backrim that isnt fixed nor single speed,NO BRAKES, its a regular old back rim with the cassette still attached, change this to a rim with a fixie or single speed freewheel cog and you'll have a legit conversion! It's Shaved, Meaning all the knobs and cable tunnels are ground off, which leads into the part about how it needs to be painted so that the "Shaved" parts dont rust. It's a nice little bike and it has potential but i don't have the money to put into it to make it great, i made this bike as a way to get around the neighborhood while my regular bike was being repaired, It's not stolen, The bike was given to me as a gift from my aunt, i disassembled it and a year later Ive reassembled it as a single speed. It was originally a hybrid commuter bike, very solid frame. It's got a White Stem which looks pretty cool and suicide bars with black grips, I'm located in Atwater Village ! This bike needs a good home and is in riding condition, aside from the lack of a brake! The Cheapest bike you'll find on craigslist all day.

That Trek frame is lovely, but it's a touring frame, not a fixie frame. People are weird.

That Basso is fantastic, though it's odd that such a small bike would have 172.5mm cranks.

That's one of the original run of 720s, before cantilever brakes became standard. Probably a Cinelli bottom bracket shell as well.

Yea, but its a $100 headset which makes the frameset with the headset and seatpost a very good buy.

Although he says it could be used as a fixie what I find more disturbing is that he mentions 'service agreements'. CL competition is getting ot the point where sellers are offering service? I'd like to see their buisness licenses.

I'm so lucky that Gios doesn't fit me! By the way, in the name Gios, the 'i' is there just to soften the 'G', so it's pronounced "joce" with one syllable.

That's a Merida-made Raleigh, made in Taiwan. We had one in the family and just sold it. It rides extremely nicely.
