Dura-Ace bar-end shifter shim?
Hi, I have a 9-speed DA bar-end shifter I'm trying to mount to a Salsa Cowbell 2 bar. But even tightened all the way, the shifter pod is too small for the internal diameter of the bar. Other bar-end shifters fit no problem, but I really want the 9-speed indexing that the DA shifter offers. Is there some kind of shim, sort of like the ones that come with Tektro bar-end brake levers, that could be used on the shifter?
Thanks!
Thanks!

That's it. A 'pop-can' shim is perfectly acceptable here, especially since you aren't worried about the shifter being load bearing.
Good quality shears will cut a can cleanly, but a fresh utility knife blade will do, as well.
