Hello from Northern California
I've been looking at this forum for advice for a long time, but finally decided to join in. I have been cycling for my whole life, pretty much, though never competitively or anything. Started mountain biking before suspension was a thing. I have a mountain bike (Trek Cali disc), a carbon road bike (Trek Domane 5.2), my grad school bike that I can't part with - a Gary Fisher Tassajara that is super beat up, but I love it. Also, a classic Raleigh 3-speed (with recently installed spoke lights - you're never too old), a 1995 Bianchi Eros that is a beauty, and my latest is a 2005 Lemond Croix de Fer with sparkly blue paint. I'm working on my basic bike mechanic skills. Kind of bike obsessed during Covid. Working from home in an area that is great for biking does that to you. I may get kicked out of the house if I buy another bike, yet I scan Craigslist often just in case something special shows up -- maybe a fixie or a gravel bike, or a cruiser that isn't so heavy?
