What is this Peugeot?
Hijacking this thread instead of creating another one. Would anybody be able to identify this Peugeot just with this really bad picture? Caught my attention since it looks a bit more modern, and the price asked is peanuts (probably partly because of the rust on the chain). Contacted the seller but still waiting for an answer.

Curious to know what makes you say it needs a lot of work? Your eyes are obviously more experienced than mine so it's a genuine question. Apart from the nasty chain and some rusty bolts, i'm guessing: the rims?

Low resolution photos taken from the non-drive side always complicate identification. However, based on the decals it is circa 1988. Exposed brake cables, exposed brake nuts and what appears to be Schraeder valves suggest an entry level model with HLE tubeset, while the presence of lugs suggests it was manufactured by Procycle in Canada. Maybe a PB10?

Fact is, you'll be putting in some time and effort here. Don't know the asking price, nor the extent of your skills as a bike mechanic, so I can't really say whether it's worth the ask. Are you looking for a project or turn-key? If the latter, I'd keep looking

Italicized downtube logo points to '88-'91, lack of pastel "splash" decals puts it pre-90, if memory serves so I'm guessing '88 or '89 and based on how it's equipped, I'm going with something lower-end like what we would've called the Marseilles in USA and CAN.
