Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I know it's all relative, but that's darn near shortsleeve weather here.

Snow Shower
Feels Like -3°

Some days paradise is cold.

Average high in September was 93 F. Then the temperature fell off a cliff by mid October. Mid 60's is a 30 degree drop and feels cold. Yes, it is all relative. If not for the awesome Marigold jacket I would be screwed.

You betcha! So the wheelset cost me an extra $130.00. Dt Swiss hub and xdr freehub hub included, not horrible. You were correct on the bb. I have to replace the bb30 bearings with a set of the dub spec bearings.$28.00. Not horrific. I scored a new set of Red post mount calipers for $85.00. That's it. I think everything is accounted for and on the way.

Yesterday, I had a lypoma (lipoma?) Removed from the top of my head. It was deaper than expected. Today I saw another surgeon for the one on my back. Hopefully we will be removing that one next week. Can't wait till this is over. My head is killing me.

We have a single car, and it's loaded with bikes, weights and tools, and some nonsense in the attic that comes out once a year.. We keep going back and forth. New house, update this one, or be happy we don't have house payments. It lives in the driveway with the Rangers.

Buenos dias, up at the crack of dawn today to take a friend to the airport. Love the peace and quiet of 4 AM. My snowbird friend is heading to PR for the winter, we might visit in March.

True, but the Open Pavés I just bought have been out of print for at least a couple years. Best tire I've ever ridden.

And, of course, Big Marketing does what it takes to survive and thrive.

4 am is Curb Your Enthusiasm and weight time, but only Tuesdays and Thursdays. Saturdays, it's not til 6 +/-... I like to give myself a little time between weights and bike on Saturday, so early-ish weights, and later-ish bike.
