Our National and Provincial Parks are closed and I worry about conservation areas and city parks as well. I know others have more severe restrictions. Surely spending time in the open air rather than cooped up in homes and apartments is one way of getting through this without risk. provided you are keeping your distance. Here's a young Red-tailed Hawk from yesterday's walk.

SQ test shot

Thought I’d post this scan of a test shot made with the Bronica SQ on Ultrafine Xtreme 100, with the 150mm Zenzanon @ 1/125th @ f8. Developed in Rodinal at 1:100 dilution for 15 minutes. The shot was taken at midday in direct sunlight. I have not taken time to remove the dust and scratches. It’s not a great photo, but it accomplished what I was trying to achieve in the test.

I give you a tight shot of my garage doors, warts and all!

Considering the lighting, great job.

Thanks. I’ve been away from b&w film for a long time. My last darkroom work was 30+ years ago. Lots to (re)learn.

Wilderness is not closed, didn't see anyone for many days. Most nights I aligned tent as close to E-W as possible for the Equinox. Cell phone shot of one site. Star shots later...

I've been hiking and backpacking for the past 28 years!
The best part is that it is all now with my wife and 11yr old son.
The worst part is the the ground gets harder every year.

I added some identification/comments embedded. I know you know already locolobo, but just for fun, maybe others are curious. I always enjoy seeing your photos of local places and things over the 'seasons' - you really capture them well.

Owl Clover. Native to AZ and seen widely in the low deserts currently, but not so much in town. The cool thing about Owl Clover is that it eats other plants.

African Daisy - Introduced and acts like an aggressive spring wildflower in yards around the city drowning out all the other flowers. I think it is not so fun to deal with especially clean up after it dies out in late spring. I left my front yard get covered in them one year and was able to prevent second year with active weeding. Every year I get a few from neighbors seeds. I prefer to let the native wildflowers like poppies bloom instead.

This is called a Frog. I think.

Likely this is Buckhorn Cholla. Certainly some type of cholla. There are may species of cholla and what seems like near infinite variations as some cross.

Hey thanks! I knew the African Daisy was an invasive plant but didn't know it's name. It pops trailside around town. The stinknet(?) has passed it last year and looks like this year.

On my daily permitted brief pandemic exercise break, I'm still enjoying taking photographs of London's busy spots that under the current lock-down are mostly deserted. This is a view from outside St Paul's Cathedral looking down across the wobbly bridge over the river Thames, to the Tate Modern art gallery. Normally this view would contain hundreds if not thousands of people milling about like ants walking to and from these famous locations.
