Went with my friend to purchase a Iro fixed gear from a guy on craigslist, at his house I noticed a carbon fork asked if he was selling it he offered it to me for $80 naught but 30 seconds later he says I'll throw in a brand new HF rear phil wood hub with cog and lockring together for $100! what a deal! not sure if i want to flip it for cash or build a new wheel set along with my new carbon forks...decisions decisions.

For a split second, all I saw that as was a bowl of menstrual blood and vomit. Was odd.
BlueJ: Items are probably stolen and parted out...gopher it if you want, I guess, I doubt the owner would ever get them back again anyways. That's why they were probably last minute things, so those ones weren't mentioned on the list of Craig

My thoughts exactly.... those prices are just utterly too good to be legit.

I assumed he meant that the hub and fork were $100 together. Its hard to tell with all the punctuation.

How much would those items be usually sold for on say ebay/craigslist? If the selling price was way below an expected level it does look dodgy. Criminals tend to be able to sell items cheap as they obtained them for free.
However, this dude could be legit and realised he needed some cash and in his house were a couple of keen cyclists with money in their pockets.
If they were stolen it would be very unwise (for him) to sell from his home.
If you suspect they were nicked don't buy. Was the seller wearing a black and white hooped shirt and a black mask?

they were $100 together sorry for the confusion and also they were not stolen I am a 100% sure it was guy who was moving and needed to get rid of them because he couldn't take them with him.

Your cog is slipping.
Yeah, man...the last time I moved I was like "Damnit! I could have done this in one trip if it weren't for this stupid hub, cog and lockring!"
