Inhad this pain after riding a stock saddles painlessly for a couple of years.
New bike, new saddle. Only noticed it on longer rides but it really sucked. Even hurt to pee.
I tried a few saddles, including the cut outs. Wasn't a fan of the cut outs. Ended up switching from an arione to Antares. The wider antares ended up curing me. I guess the arione was too narrow and was basically slipping just enough up that the pressure was causing pain in the taint.
IME the pain from lack of miles is sit bone pain that eventually goes away once the "ass callus" builds.

I like this. The OP is riding for two weeks and suggestions include trying out different saddles.
Everyone gets sore when they first start riding. It's also natural to overdo it with rides in frequency and duration at the beginning.
OP, follow Datlas' advice in post no 5

This mirrors my experience, too. I've never really experienced chafing or saddle sores, so I can't speak on those, but sit bone ass pain is the only pain that I casually dismiss with an "HTFU."

You guys are getting soft. I'm surprised no one has said HTFU yet.

More like enlarged prostate. It is inevitable as one ages.

I'd say look for a new saddle and make sure you're actually sitting on your sit bones (and can feel it). I just found out about 2 weeks ago that I've been riding with way too much pressure on my perineal area which was why I was getting a lot of numbness down there while riding (probably cutting off a few big blood vessels).

The best taint toughening exercise is to stand on your head, spread your legs and have a bunch of neighborhood kids smack your taint with wooden dowels like a piñata.

Every man over 50 should perform a monthly prostate self-exam.
The numbness is from pressure on the pudendal nerves, which run through the taintal area. (True)

My friend ignored the pain and numbness that would just start to creep in on 1-2 hour rides, much to his detriment after committing to a 6-7 hour ride. He said that the in-ride discomfort was pretty bad, but more concerning was the fact that he went months without being able to muster up an erection. Yeah, that's not the kind of thing that I want to take lightly.

surprised nobody mentioned trying cycling shorts (OP didn't say).
correct clothing makes this sport much more comfortable.

Try this: DZ Nuts Pro Chamois Cream | Competitive Cyclist
I used it when I first started riding. After a few months I didn't need it anymore.

What if the saddle rails fail and the seatpost comes up through the saddle slot??
