Can you identify this man?

Cyclist in a park assaulted two people, including attacking one man using his bicycle. Please contact Bethesda, MD police with any relevant information on this individual.

I think it'd be more useful if besides that image of the guy there was an image of his bike posted too. People might recognize the bike first and then the guy.

Cheers

PSA there's a man named Peter Weinberg that was FALSELY fingered by the twitter mob and has cleared his name with police.

I think he was suspected because of public Strava info putting him near the crime and a vague resemblance to the published pics.

The danger of mob justice.

"Here lies George Johnson, hanged by mistake 1882. He was right, we was wrong, but we strung him up and now he's gone."

I thought it was obvious that Peter Weinberg wasn't the person when people started mentioning him on twitter. Doesn't look like the guy much at all.

Twitter says an arrest is in progress, so I assume there will be an official announcement soon

Thanks, all! Dude has been fired and is in serious legal trouble for his crazed actions. I grabbed this image, because it shows helmet & glasses, which are identifiable. The cell phone footage did not get a good shot of his bike, or it would have been included.

He's issued a "heart-felt" apology. Every time bad citizens get caught doing something outrageous, they come up with this effusive outpouring about how that wasn't like them and they feel horrible about the incident. More likely, though, is that what's in their hearts is what's always been there and the only thing they are sorry for is being stupid enough to get caught.

Yep. I read somewhere that before being caught, he hid the helmet under his front porch, ditched the jersey and locked up the bike behind a building away from his house.

He used to be a vice president of a company. Note "used to" his employer fired him over this and I dare say that a vice president did make a decent wage. I do not feel bad that he was fired either considering he attacked a little kid.
