Frustrating 😡
Yesterday I spent 30-40 minutes looking for a pump mount and extra 15mm wrench for a new to me bike took kit. Today I was in the basement and found both of them while looking for something else.

I spent at least 40' this afternoon looking for my quick link pliers. Main tool box, garage tool cabinet, basement drawers, basement tool boxes, car, etc. My wife walks in to the garage and asks why I'm looking so frazzled and I tell her what I'm looking for, describe it and such. She reaches in to the tool box and asks, "Do they look like this?" Yes...

Made it to 84 WHOOPIE
Car wouldn't start this morning, did all the tricks I could think of but the transmission was locked in park so that I could not move it, even by pushing, and the dash message said "service shifter." Had to take the old car. On the way my wife said could it be the battery, which I ignored. But I'm back home, completely forgetting what the wife said, ran jumper cables and the car started. So I need a new battery, and the moral of the story is listen to your wife..

Today I was going through a tote of miscellaneous parts to see what brake levers I have for a project . There is a round cookie tin setting on the shelf above the tote that has mostly tire levers in it. They were in that.
I picked up a 97 Specialized hardrock and was setting up seat bag for it. I carry a small pump on bike, I just use it to get tire seated then bring it up to pressure with a CO2 inflator

I actually feel my projects around the garage and yard could be done in 30% less time if I could remember where I put the tool I was using 5 minutes ago.

It could have been worse. You could have found them right after buying new ones. That's happened to me a few times. At least this way, all you wasted was time.

I had the opposite issue - forgot that I already bought new tires at the end of last season. Amazon remembered though - "you last purchased this item 6 months ago"... I don't think they expected that such a message would cause me to delete my new order.

I spent 2 hours looking for my arm warmers before a 600k brevet recently. When my wife came home, she could see my angst. She said, did you look on the shelf where you always put them. Yes, like 10 times. She goes up to my cycling clothing closet and there they were in the open......one shelf down from their normal position.

Today's frustration . I have a cheap Schwinn light set that attaches to the handle bar with a o-ring and the tail light clips on my trunk bag. I carry them because places here will fine you after sunset without lights. This set is small and inexpensive. And can be mounted to any bike in 30 seconds.. I decided to check the batteries took me 15 minutes on the internet to find out how to open it 🤬
Since I am riding again, I went through my Topeak trunk bag and looked at everything I carry and restock/ replaced things that needed it
