Did I make a mistake? - 2012 Fuji Nevada LE 1.0
Hi, all.
For few years I was using my 2014 Giant Roam 2 for occasional bike rides with family. This bike has 9x3 setup with Acera/Alivio components and 63mm travel front fork.
Recently I have started to bike more in mixed environment - pavement+trails. After bottoming out my front fork I have decided to look for an upgrade options. I wanted air front fork with more travel and similar gear setup. I wanted a 3x10 to be comfortable on pavement and on trails. I also wanted a clutch on rear derailleur. Once I have started calculating price of upgrades I realized, that I am better off with selling existing bike and getting a different one that already has all components that I have wanted.
So I came across the ad on Craigslist of Fuji Nevada LE 1.0 that presumably had all (or at least majority) of the upgrades: Suntour XRC32 front fork (it was claimed to be air fork), 3x10 gear setup with Deore components (rear derailleur does not have clutch). Picture was not of a very good quality and seller did not provide much details. I went too look at it and being not too experienced with bikes and components - bought it for $500.
When I got home I started researching and discovered that it was a 2012 model with coil front fork, and not air. Overall bike is in pretty good shape, but I still cannot decide if I made a mistake and overpaid for that bike. I have not taken it out yet on a trail, so I do not have much riding impressions.
Should I look for a similar used air fork or just stick with what I have?

However, in my opinion, you have overpaid quite a lot for it.

I too would stick with what you have for right now until you put a few miles on it and see how you like it. If the fork is an issue at that point, you can always look to upgrade, but you might find you're good with the spring fork. Personally, I like spring over air simply because they're less worry and maintenance. Well, maybe just less worry, but that's me. Air and oil can leak, springs don't. As for price, it's just a shame it wasn't completely as described. But you'll still enjoy it.

Service intervals in coil and air forks are similar.
