Shimano Tiagra SL-4700 compatibilty

Hi i am looking to convert my road bike to hybrid using SL-4700 (2X10) shifters. do you know if they are compatible with Shimano 105 5700 11-28T or Ultegra CS 6700 11-25T cassette? And ultegra deraileurs?

Your shifters will be OK with any 10 speed cassette. Shifter/derailleur match may be another concern.

The cassette is not an issue.

My understanding is that Tiagra 4700 will only work with 4700 derailleurs or 5800, 6800, etc 11 speed rear derailleurs with a 10 speed cassette.

Not an issue, but not all 10 speed components, excluding cassettes, are compatible.

Seems like the SL-4700 is not compatible with ultegra deraileurs. Do you know which flatbar shifters will work with ultegra deraileurs?

Ultegra 6700 or 6800 rear derailleur?

If 6700, probably Microshift R10.

Rd-6700. Do I just replaced the existing shifters with microshift R10? Any special instruction?
