Drop in replacement for Schwinn le tour GT400 rear derailleur?

Hello, I’m looking for a drop in replacement for my 1974 Schwinn le tour which has a Schwinn Le Tour GT400 rear derailleur. The teeth on the gears of the derailleur are totally chewed up.

Here is info about my derailleur which I found on Disraeli gears.
  • Derailleur brands: Schwinn, manufactured by Shimano
  • Country: USA, manufactured in Japan
  • Date of introduction: 1974
  • Date of this example: 1974 (two letter date code is ‘YI’)
  • Model no.: GT400
  • Weight: 267g
  • Maximum cog: 28 teeth (Sutherland’s 4th edition)
  • Total capacity: 28 teeth (Sutherland’s 4th edition)
  • Pulley centre to centre: 46mm
  • Index compatibility: friction
  • Chain width: 3/32”
  • Logic: top normal
  • B pivot: two sprung pivots
  • Materials: aluminium knuckles, steel parallelogram plates and pulley cage plates

I am not looking for anything crazy expensive, just the cheapest rear derailleur that can get the job done.

Thanks.

New or vintage?

No need to over think it, as plenty of stuff will shift that range. A Shimano Titlist from that period would work fine. Lots of other options too.

If you mean you need new pulley/jockey wheels, buy these:

You will also need a little bit of grease.
