Luckily it's only November and I'm not too worried about it. Will see if I can knock out 200 TSS in an hour today

D'oh ... have been uploading rides from the 510 by syncing through Garmin Connect. As a result, haven't been plugging the Garmin in as much. Sadly, it died mid ride this AM, so no data for half the ride. Was able to record the second half via Strava app. Something around 50 miles 3,000 feet.

Regarding TSS calc's. Not sure why, but my power tests suck. I can NP around 360 for an hour on rides with short punchy climbs, but then my 20 minute tests at steady power are like 40-50 watts less. Dunno ... but I suspect that leads to artificially high TSS?

I'm wondering if the Garmin will eat the file like it did after the spring time change.

I upload from my 500 to Garmin Connect too, but leave it plugged in until it's fully charged. I think the longest it's gone on one charge was seven hours. It didn't die, I just charged it again after that ride.

Really fun team ride today. More climbing than I've done in a while, suffered but felt good. Also did a hard group ride yesterday, so a very solid weekend in some perfect Fall weather

Still no bike, so I ran on Saturday. First time since the Spartan race over 2 years ago before I started bike racing. Started out at an 8 minute pace, felt slow... aaand finished so slow my average was 9.5 minute pace over 8.5 miles. Legs and feet are still sore. My boss is giving me his old '90s Trek on Monday, will be much nicer than running.

i know everyone is crazy for wireless and automatic uploads, but this is going to happen more often. it'll happen to me, i know.

having to plug in a device means at least a bit of juice every day.

I did like 100 frustrated box jumps last night while watching the Mets blow it again.

Jumping on a box will not make the Mets a better team.

Honestly, the Mets didn't lose so much as the Royals won. They were the better team and it must have been a blast for their fans.

Day 2 of no riding: TKP is antsy. What is modern life but a gilded cage? What is the social contract but lipstick on a Walrus? TKP yearns for the Serengeti, to chase down an Antelope and cap its punk ass.

Ah, done with three days off! Just did my morning commute. Ultra-freshness + EXCITED. NP=LOL. Hopefully I can squeeze in a power test in the afternoon.

Last night I mounted the fenders and dug out my VeloToze. Got up this morning, looked at the rain and said Eff This.

45' on the trainer.

Then I remembered how much that sucked. Shoulda just rode in the rain.

I am determined to not ride in the rain as much this year. It's just miserable and the workouts are never as good anyway.
