Use any derailleur you want - that's a pretty standard dropout/derailleur hanger (although why you'd want to use anything other than Campagnolo is beyond me )

Frame pictured "may" have 26 TPI threading in the RD hanger, ok for vintage Campy but slightly off for
the otherwise standard 10Mx1.0mm which is now the world wide standard. Probably makes little difference
if you stick to 70s era or older RD where 26TPI was not unusual. Or the frame may have the !0Mx1.0
threading. Since there are ~5-7 threads in the hanger this may only result in a little increase in
torque needed to install the RD and cross threading is unlikely. Cones were another matter...

would I need to purchase anything else other than the derailleur for it to fit? Like a hanger?

And yes I'd do campy parts but I already have a Rotor crankset I was planning on using less spending. Also trying to get a modern feel on this bike.

nope - that’s the hanger right there - the round thing with the hole sticking down from the drive-side dropout. Derailleur screws directly into it.
what frame is it?

Any derailleur EXCEPT some Simplex models.

There is also a new style of derailleur called "Direct Mount" which one should AVOID.

You don't need a "Claw" on the derailleur, although many of the more modern claw style derailleurs have a removable claw.

As mentioned above, 10mm x 1mm threads or 10mm x 26tpi threads don't make much difference, although you may not wish to swap back and forth between the two regularly.

Thanks that is a big help. I only ride single speed so I'm not to familiar with road bikes and I'm trying to build one so this helps.
