Yes! But it would be nice to have a few days without 20+ mph winds to give the legs a break.

40, not as windy as yesterday, miles this morning. Came home and started working on the CRS for the MS ride next Saturday.

16.1 miles (25.9k). Came upon an old bike buddy I haven't seen since October. When we took off he eventually caught up to me, that's when I knew I was energy-less because he seldom rides at more than 12mph. DOA! But it was a nice ride.

Today was a bike commuting day - 20 miles total. But............................flatted this morning in downtown Indy, two miles short of Work. No problem, I always carry pump, tube, patches ,etc. Unfortunately, discovered my Topeak Road Morph had a cracked head and would only deliver a teeny tiny bit of air to the tube. Call of Shame resulted in wife coming to rescue me and bike. She delivered us to work. Plus, she brought a floor pump. So that I was able to ride home in the PM. Had an uneventful commute home in fantastic Spring weather.
Moral of story: Check the condition of emergency gear regularly. Question: Will a replacement pump head cost significantly less than a new Road Morph? I'll find out.

59 miles. Another beautiful 77°day. I can't say often enough how liberating it is to ride in just shorts and short sleeved jersey, First day of the year I've worn sun block. I wore my sun sleeves too, really wanted to take them off, but I don't want my forearms to be burnt to a crisp at the end of summer.

22 miles Thursday afternoon, first ride on the road bike since the weekend. Getting over a respiratory bug, aches and fever. Felt pretty good after a gradual warmup. Nearly got clobbered by a truck that right hooked me, but okay otherwise.

Woke up this morning to use the bathroom and cut the turn too close banging my toe into the dresser. Toe is purple but it didn’t stop me from riding. Started off and each time my foot got to the 6:00 position, my toe throbbed. No problem! I can take it. I’m a guy. Well after 25 miles of wind and the toe throbbing in those cycling shoes, I was about ready to cry. Went home, loaded up on ibuprofen, rebuilt a set of pedals and sat down and iced the toe.

20 miles today as a bike commuter. Great weather again. Had a close encounter with an IndyGo bus. Passed me within probably 1-2 feet while I was in bike lane. City law requires at least 3 feet clearance. Reported to customer service line later - we'll see if I get a requested return call from a supervisor.

Renton gets the bad rap locally, but it is a regular starting point - today a 50km ride.
Cloudy, 57*F, but dry.

48 miles Friday evening: two different group rides with friends, and the ride to and from. Beautiful spring evening great company, very casual pace which I needed after pushing pretty hard the past few rides.

40 miles this morning. Wind showed up late in the ride which was fine with me. Humility was also down, which was also fine with me.

We had our local Cancer Society's Venice Airport Relay for Life last night. Relay For Life of Venice Sign Up For Relay For Life of Relay For Life of Venice

In 2015 I committed to walk half my age overnight and thus completed 32.5 miles around the track. Again in 2016 I walked the then required 33 miles; HOWEVER, last year with worsening knees I decided to bicycle overnight instead and wound up leading off the Survivor's Lap and then leaving the airport to ride local roads and finished the 11 hours of bicycling time with 152 miles. BEGINING last night I was hoping to exceed the 152 mile distance but life got in the way with a need it now Prostate Biopsy this past Monday because a recent scan revealed a possible return of my Gleason-10 PCa.

Installing an Easy Seat https://www.amazon.com/Hobson-Easyse.../dp/B000GBK4Z4 on my Paramount I set off butt after 52 SLOW miles I had enough. Swapped out seat for my standard cheapo padded seat rested up a bit and then it was back on the road into blowing headwinds for the 18 miles back to the airport. ONLY able to get in 101 miles overnight AND OF COURSE as soon as I got back the wind dropped to ZERO.

Went for a nice 20 mile ride this afternoon, despite all the pollen blowing all around (Ah-choo!!!)

Here's the route from my house (and, as I wrote on Facebook)...

I joked to my son-in-law that he must be famous to have a road named after him (Blair). LOL...

And lastly, more so sadly... Look at what Capital One has done inside the pristine "horse shoe shaped" West Creek Pkwy business complex... They started clearing out the woods, and are building huge townhouses, etc...

Oops... Forgot to include this from my ride earlier (see my post above). As I also wrote on FB:

"Oh yeah, I forgot... I did my good deed for the day too. While in West Creek Pkwy, just near the overpass of the 288 expressway, I noticed another cyclist, off his bike, sitting in the grass, rubbing his left foot. I had too much speed, and simply waved to him as I rode by. But then, something hit me or perhaps it's still the Coast Guardsman in me, but I slowed down, turned around in the same lane, and rode back to him. I asked him, "Hey, are you alright?". He said that he just bought a new pair of bicycle shoes and was trying to break them in. I looked at his left heel, and he had a bleeding blister above his small sport sock. I said, "Dude, you're bleeding!" and he said, "Yeah, I know. I'm alright. Thanks for stopping!". I got off my bike, unzipped my seat bag, and sift though it and pull out a plastic container of bandaids. I hand them to him and say, "Here's a bandaid for you!". He takes a bandaid, thanks me again, and puts it on his left heel. I tell him, "Have a great ride. Take care!", and turn around and resume my ride."
I guess the moral of this story is that we cyclists look out for one another, no matter who we are or what we ride!

Yesterday. Fifty degrees, rain and mud; 41 miles, 2500 feet of elevation gain. 30s today and rain/sleet so I'm sitting at the computer. 70s this week!

It was a lot cooler this morning than yesterday, so I decided to do some yard work for a few hours.

I then decided today would be Bike Wash Sunday. It took longer than expected to service all three bikes.

That explains only a 55 minute ride.
