Washed bike now have squeak when pedaling or coasting
Hi everyone, I just did a wash in what I felt was the proper way (I've watched the tutorials lol) of my Cannondale CAAD12 roadie. I lubed it up like I normally do with some dry teflon lube on the chain and some spray teflon lube in the important bits... go out riding today and it's squeaky as hell, fairly high pitched. Happens when pedalling and when I coast (for a bit after letting off the gas). Where should I start to look? Did I mess my BB?
Thanks guys in advance you usually help me out quite a bit!

I'll get it up on the stand some time soon, just got in from ride, I'll try and post a video if the sound can help clue people in.

Hold it up by the front & spin the front wheel.
Repeat for the rear.
It's called isolating the problem.

OK there's the vid, unfortunately on the stand the noise is much harder to hear but it's still there, so it depends on how much torque is involved and if we're bouncing around a bit on the road. It's definitely coming from rear but not sure if pulleys or something else.

I hear a short squeek after like every 4th turn of the crank. That‘s usually the amount of turns the chain needs to do a full revolution. From that i would suggest that a chain link didn‘t get enough lube.

You might have been right sir! Despite lubing the chain I always do maybe it was just a miss, I relubed everything and dropped some dry teflon lube on the pulleys just because I'm neurotic. It sounds quieter on the stand at least, real test will be back on the road. Your insight about the frequency of the noise is spot on I think
Thanks!
