I gather that George Carlin has cut back on his schedule quite a bit in the past couple of years, and no more live appearances.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Kevin Costner, David Marshall Grant (Kostner's character's brother), Luca Bercovici (Muzzin) or Robert Townsend (Jerome) who all rode in American Flyers.

Then again, there's Dennis Quaid and Dennis Christopher (Stoller) from Breaking Away.

Alexandra Paul (Baywatch) competed in a number of Triathalons.

Wonder if any or all continued riding....

Greg Norman the golfer was frequently on a road bike after the peak of his professional golf career somewhat to the chagrin of his handlers who were of course fearful of him breaking body parts necessary to a well executed backswing.

A "quick google" for "celebrity bicyclists" returned pictures of the following on bicycles or stories abouth them as bicyclists: Stepahnie Pratt (The Hills), Anne Hathaway, Patrick Dempsey (Grey's Anatomy), Lily Cole,(model) Goldie Hawn, Elle McPherson, Steve Huison (UK Tv actor), Joy Bryant (Virtuality), Ben Harper (musician), Naomi Watts, Harrison Ford), Tori Spelling with her husband Dean McDermott, Russell Simmons (Def Jam Records cofounder), Matt Lauer (who hits deer on his bike), Demi Lovato (Disney actress now in rehab), Eric McCormack (Will & Grace ), Soleil Moon Frye (Punky Brewster), Billy Zane, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jessica Alba, Miley Cyrus, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Emile Hirsch, Pamela Anderson, Jennifer Lopez (completed a half-mile swim, 18-mile bike ride and 4-mile run yesterday in the Nautica Malibu Triathlon), Amanda Detmer, Nicholas Gonzales, Jon Cryer, James Denton, Matthew McConaughey, Brittany Daniel, Estella Warren, Eliza Dushku, Anna Kournikova, Amanda Beard, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jennifer Aniston (supposedly was a bike messenge at one time), Kate Hudson, Rodney King (famous for being beaten by cops), Jorja Fox (CSI),. Most of those came off one page https://www.cyclelicio.us/labels/celebrity.html.

Also returned, Jason Alexander (Seinfeld) and Thomas Dekker (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) hit different bicyclists with their cars. Elisabeth Hasselbeck was hit by a bicyclist.

Apparently Seamus Dever and Stana Katic of the TV series "Castle" ride. Seamus seems to be full time, for Stana it seems to be an occasional thing, but the way she chased after him in the second vid indicates she knows what the pedals are for...

Senator John Kerry - there was a piece about him in VeloNews a couple of years ago. Papa John of Papa John's pizza - he was in a crash a few years back while riding in a 2-man paceline - kid threw a high school biology text book at them from a car on the last day of school.

I have seen a picture of one of the Grateful Dead on an MTB on some mountain trail. I don't know them by name though. It was, however, post-1995.

I recall Bob Weir and Daryl Hall (I think) from a mountain bike photo in the mid-'80's, riding in a clearcut around Marin County. I think it was in Bicycling magazine.

Sammy Hagar was trying to get Cannondale to do a "Red Rocker" edition bike, red with all black components. It died because of the difficulties in sourcing black parts (again, the '80's- before mountain bike groups were widely available).

Fuzzy memories... I lived through the '80's. I don't want to go back.
