Cappy, you are correct, the bike is putting you in a good position for longer rides. You are not hunched over. My grips are 2-3 inches below my saddle, and I'm not hunched over. I forget why, but it's better to have your handlebars kinda low. Fix your bar ends. I don't think you like the twitchy feeling. You will soon come to enjoy the benefits of bar ends in the normal orientation, pointed forward slightly upwards from the horizon.

Congratulations. You are the new winner. Best hybrid yet. Thanks for breaking the tie. We couldn't decide between Sh00k and WCpeddler who were sharing the lead. A stem parallel to your top tube would have scored better, but for now you have a nice gap on the field.

If you click on the BMC it opens in a small window. If you click on it again it opens in a big window. Click on it a third time and it gets even bigger.

Clean for the first time in a couple weeks....
Just clean, without regular gear.
As it always leaves my garage - ready for whatever comes my way today.

Nice machine, nicely photographed. Your cat had to get in the shot. We love that.

Thank you - if you look real close, you can see both cats. Bonnie is in the left door, Clyde in the right.

I'm wondering something... who is this "we" that you are referring to? You are the only one in this thread saying this or that bike is the best. And besides you, who says that this is any kind of contest? The purpose of this thread is not to see which bike is "best", it's merely to post pictures of hybrid bikes -- there's no contest here, hence no winners or losers.

Wow...Wow...Wow...most beautiful thing I have seen!!!.
Are those used Magura hydraulics? I had a couple mountain bikes with them back in the mid 90's. Do they still sell those new? Now that I look closer at that pic. Do you really need that mtb cassette on the back? What is that an 11-34? Seems like overkill for the street if you are moderately fit.

KShep, we overlooked your bike. Evaluation forms could not be completed because of the odd angles of your photos. We would appreciate a level, square image. Based on existing evidence you are tentatively in second place. WSpeddler has disqualified himself from the competition. shOOk has a very tenuous grasp on third unless he flips his stem.

Apologies for the odd picture angles. I was unable to locate the garage door clicker. The door was up, but sun was out and so was the camera so I shot her in the first place she would stand up. Another photo opp may present itself when her new shoes and saddle arrive at which time the only images presented for preservation here will be level and square.
for comic relief & terrierman / maggie-fastest jack russell on the planet....with the longest tongue.

Thanks for the consideration. I hope you didn't have to mangle too many evaluation forms on my account.

I covet RiverCities cycle cam.
The device around her neck is a reciever for the invisible fence...terriercam would be a hoot.

Hmmm... I don't think he is joking. I get the impression that he's quite serious. If you look at other threads in this forum, he knows exactly what looks best and what is best for everyone. Personally, I think all the bikes in this thread are cool and whatever works for someone is what works -- but that's just me -- after all, they're just bikes.
Maybe we should get back to posting pictures of bikes?...
(Oh, cute dog, btw.)
