Helmet visor

I found a visor from (presumably) and motorbike helmet and fitted it to my bike helmet. Pretty happy but there is still a fair amount of wind that swirls up from underneath. I opened up the nose slot to allow it to drop lower to hopefully help and it did.

The blue underneath is a blue bottle I propped it up on.

The green to the side is an aloe vera plant.

I remembered that my wife had a Bell hard shell cycling helmet when we first met (it was stolen along with her Raleigh racer), I just looked Bell up to see if they still made a helmet with a drop down visor and they have several models available! The Force WORM also has a visor.

great ingenuity!

there are several manufacturers that make similar helmets at reasonable prices. been getting my money's worth out of my Basecamp unit

combined w/ a balaclava, it's pretty useful in the winter!

it came w/ a tinted shield & I bought a clear one for night rides (or dark rides, like in the rain)

Hi Bill,
Unfortunately there is nothing obvious written on it. On one side it says yk888 and on the other side it says eovs.
I got it at a used sports equipment shop so it is just random off of a shelf.

I got a very short bolt that fit in the hole on the side and drilled a hole into the helmet that fit it in snugly. Then I used a piece of clear fishing line to keep it from dropping down my face too far as the edges would become uncomfortable.

Thanks Mr Thylacine and rumrunn6 . Great ideas!
