Got out for a nice solo 40 mile ride up in the foothills yesterday to add another 4,000' to the tally this month.

Total for the month is 38,032' in 530 miles.

Headed out for a few days of vacation to cool off at the coast and bringing the bike along for some early morning rides. Looking forward to new hills to climb.

No, but I spent a week in central PA and got in two short rides with about 1250 feet of climbing in each one.

I only got my Garmin 500 last week to start recording rides, but in 5 rides I already have 5515' in elevation. My commute is ~960' each way, and I'm trying to ride in 3 days/week, so that alone should put me around 23,000 each month. If I do my usual weekend trail ride, that's another 1700' so I might be getting near 30,000 on a good month.

I did 4,300 feet of elevation this weekend, but it was on foot, with a ~75 pound backpack.

Teanaway. I did "the two car thing," left mine at the Iron Peak trailhead and got a lift to Beverley Creek, then hiked back to my car. I summitted Iron Peak on the way out. I've only done one west-side hike since this Spring, I spent too much time neglecting the east side, and now I'm making up for it.

My July has totally fallen apart between a business trip, vacation and getting sick, so I have TWO WHOLE RIDES so far this month totaling 44 miles and 1,258 feet. I guess I'll shoot for 200 miles total and accept 6k feet as a worthy goal. I have a century next month so I really need to focus on distance more than climbing.

The first half of July I was able to increase my hill climbing and ascend 9,485' (63% of my 15,000' goal)

I got in two rides the following week at home (+1,407') before leaving on vacation.
Upon arriving in Truckee/Lake Tahoe region, I have been climbing more per mile and trying to catch my breath at this high elevation.
So far, 4 rides ascending 4,308' over 71 miles (and a lot of panting on these climbs).

MTD = 15,200' (101% of 15,000' goal)

Still hoping for 1 more challenging ride before we leave this altitude.

Argh. 21 more miles for me in my struggle to hit 200 in the second half of the month. 80 total so far with about 110 planned for the weekend.

3,463 feet. Making 6 k will require some effort I think.

Well, well, well... a nice hilly ride fell in my lap today and I got 5,197 feet of climbing done in 43.2 miles. That's one way to hit a 6k goal! Woo hoo!

That gives me 122.5 miles for the month and 8,660 feet. I still need to tack on 80 more miles but I have a 57 mile ride stuck on the calendar for tomorrow. I hope my legs have something left.

More than topped the goal... today's ride was 7800' of elevation gain in the first 43km (27miles) of the ride. I think I might be dead now.

Holy cats, I thought mine was painful... 80% of 5200 in the first 21 miles.

(tips cap) nice ride!

That will probably be just about it this month. Might get a few miles in tomorrow if I can get my new TT bike built and adjusted ... or might just take a quicky to get in 300 miles for the month.

MTD 20833 feet, this number is slightly lower than actual due to not logging every ride on any single tracker. I'm spread between MapMyRide, RunKeeper, Strava, and Garmin Connect. Now that I have a Garmin my monthly elevation should be much easier to tabulate.
