I will definitely try one or both of these "de-gunking" methods before I resort to plan B: shopping on ebay for a replacement. However, if plan B is needed, I noted that there are 2 types of Shimano 9 speed shifters for sale: 6501 and 6510. Not sure if either will work or only 1 will work. I have a 2 X 9 road bike.

Are you looking for the French "3 Tubes" decal? I got mine from H Lloyd Cycles -- very reasonably priced, good quality, and they'll certainly have whatever you need.

I know this is a long shot but I've got these in 23.8mm brake clamp area (25.4 stem clamp). They were soooo perfect for this Moto, until I tried to install brake levers.

ISO: an 80mm quill stem with a 26.0 clamp. Nothing fancy, the cheaper the better as long as it hold the bars.

I have plenty of other stems around, as well as other parts you may need.

These seem to be in demand recently. I think this is the third request I've seen here. I have an 80mm SR Custom stem with a 25.4 clamp if you happen to have some handlebars that size that would work for your project. In fact, I think I have handlebars too though I'm not sure I can ship them in a cost effective manner.

Of course, if you just want to spend some money and be done with it, I can recommend the Soma Sutro stem, available in 26.0/80mm and the finish is very nice.

The Origin8 Classique quill stem also comes with those dimensions and can be had from various ebay sellers for under $20. Not as nice as the Sutro, but it does the job.

The VO City levers are available in that size (although currently out of stock).

ISO SunTour Le Tech RD

I really need to replace the infamous Mountech RD on my touring bike before it decides to hurl itself into the spokes destroying my original 40 spoke rear wheel like they're known for doing... I don't see them very often, but I would really love to replace it with a SunTour Le Tech which is what would have come stock on the next model up from my bike. The holidays have left me pretty tight on cash, but I do have lots I can offer in trade if anyone can help me out! Thanks in advance!

I don't have a Le Tech, but I have a SunTour Superbe Tech in the bin. It's kind of a medium cage (i.e., not as long case as the pic of the Le Tech you show). PM me if interested.
