Icky! Even worse than Pacific (rim) bicycles! They were bought out by the Rand toy company and when the Ross "Toys" didn't sell very well they stopped marketing them.
Such an ignoble end for one of the MTB mass-produced pioneers in the early 80's

Speaking of Ross - here's my Mt Hood ready to do some camping
And took my Ritchey Ascent out to the gravel trails today. Still a great bike to ride - did a monster power slide just to relive the old days.

Nice Mt. Hood.
Mine isn't really a Mt. Hood any longer:
It's a city hauler.

Thats why we need to save them from eternal damnation (Scrap Heap).
Here is my way too small 1995 Gary Fisher Tassajara. I really have to clean her up this summer. Rear tire failed on ride last fall and we havent been getting along well considering I had to walk back 5 miles to my car.

Rare.... Univega Alpin A Ultima: This is the one that started it all, I bought this new in 1985 when nobody I knew ever saw
a Mountain Bike. Only 1 owner. The bike is an 8-9 condition because I actually used it, mostly street cruising, hardly used
off road. Almost completely original. I added Bike Rack, Comfortable Seat, and I put smooth tires on it. Bike has never
been stored outside or Garage only stored in a room environments. This bike may have been the 1st production Mountain Bike.
$1200 or best offer, serious inquires only please.

Knock a zero off, and I'd be there in ten minutes. He may be full of it, but it's still pretty cool.,,,,BD

Snapped a couple of pics of the 1000 with the new tires and grips. It rides just as nice as I remember it. The new koolstops squeak a little but only on the rear. Gonna try sanding them, or maybe they just need burning in.,,,,BD

Heh. Riiiiiight.
This guy led a very sheltered life if he thinks that's a true statement.

Do you know what size that frame is? I'm trying to estimate by comparing the tubes to the wheels and garage door.
Thanks.
PS: if you ever want to sell that bike for a small fortune, don't forget your old buddy spike...

That's an 18" I'm 6' and the cinelli is a... 20-21", haven't found a sticker on it. I think I have 4 different generations of LX on that trek.
For reference this '91 mb-4:
Is either a 16.5" or an 18.1"... I think.

I had a chance to get one a year ago and passed - now that I know more about them I wish I hadn't.

I've been following this thread for months and months now and it's about the best one on BF i reckon!
anyhoo i've been meaning to post for a while.
My Team Marin, made in the USA, bought in Germany and made it's way down under, i bought it from the original owner. Early 7 speed STI, full XT all round, great bike.
My Miele that i bought in from the USA, full XT 7 speed.
I think this was also an older Team Marin frame only that i built up with 8 speed XTR gear, great lightweight bike that's fun on the trails, it's the only one i ride in the dirt.

Here's my 1999 Raleigh M30. Bought it new back then, it has been literally around the world, ever since I've been in the military, and has never let me down. Getting ready here to hook the kids trailer up for a ride.

My wife has a solid-forked C30 and she loves it. She bought it new a dozen years ago and it's the only bike she wants -ever. I've tried to entice her to ride vintage 3-speeds, road bikes, mixtes -a whole host of other options in addition to that boring cross bike. She wants nothing of that -not interested. The only bike she wants is that pedestrian C30. It's not a bad bike and will probably last her well into her retirement as long as I keep it in tune and replace parts one at at time as needed. The M30 is a nice bike as well.
