happy new year

I am over at one of my neighbours for a new years party and Just pooped back to be able to wish you all a Happy New Year and hope it will be be better than 2009.

Bit of news- Ross- my son-in-law has talked one of my neighbours into doing the London to Brighton bike ride in June. But I have been banned from doing any of their training rides. All I have to do is provide the bikes and the tight lycra for the neighbour. The tight lycra has come as a request from all the ladies in the road.

Same to you and all the BF50+ gang. Happy New Year.

We are about to head out for a party thrown by some friends in our bike club. Rare for us to go out on NYE, but we felt like having some fun.

Happy New Year to every one of y'all...Two fresh shot mallards being prepared for New Year's dinner tomorrow right now as I sip a Duckhorn Cabernet . Planning to get in 2010's first ride in the A.M. Congrats to all of us for another year done, and Best Wishes to all in the new decade! May your tire never flat, chain never break, and hills flatten before you...

Happy New Year to all! We're staying in tonight with our son who's home from college. Rode a bit this morning and hope to get in a ride tomorrow before everyone is up. Life is good!

We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called "Opportunity" and its first chapter is New Year's Day.

Happy New Year to all, and good riddance to 2009! To the whole sorry decade, in fact.

Was going to try a New Year's day club ride, but it's only mid-20s (F) and a bit breezy with snow flurries. If it were calm and dry I'd go. Instead, it'll be the Tour de Basement on the trainer.

But for Christmas I got a new Chi Chi Peralta CD to listen to while I sweat!

And from me too, happy new year to all - and thanks for your companionship during the last 2 months of last year, when I had a little hiccup - I appreciate, beyond the saying, all the kind good wishes

Oh, and because the new year shouldn't be identical to the old year - yesterday we brought home a couple of tiger striped twin sister kittens, Veronica and Betty (named by my visiting daughter), from the kind 'look after strays' charity here. They have a way with ipod wires.

New year resolutions or plans - yes. Made 'em plans. Chop out the old faithful Santana Visa tandem, buy a new white (because .... you either know or you don't) Cannondale RT2 tandem, and ride it Northern to Southern France with the wife o'Dreams to celebrate our 25th anniversary, as soon as my broken leg is strong

Every good wish to all

R

Oh man!

Stap, if I would have thought about it, I would have been able to wish you a "Happy New Year" right at the stroke of 12:00. Your time, of course.

The party I went to last night was thrown by a couple in our bike club who live in a little unincorporated town near Milledgeville. They are college professors and most of the partygoers were connected to the college, faculty or staff. At some point our party decided to go across the street to join another party in the neighborhood. The folks at this party were more like the good ol' boys and girls you would expect to find in a small, rural area in Georgia. There was a fire and plenty of drinking and a small band was playing mostly country music. Despite the distinct differences in the two groups of people, we fit right in and had a great time. I always carry a harmonica with me, so I waited until they started playing a song in the right key for the harp I was carrying and hopped in. Someone in the crowd caught it on video and posted it to You Tube. Enjoy.

I really like your work on the harp, BD. Edgy, raw, yet smooth and soulful. I'd love to hear you jam with some of my musician friends.
