it may be like here, where ownership has to have XX number of restaurants before they must meet the requirement. There's a big loophole there in that it's based on OWNERSHIP so if I'm a subway franchisee, I may not have to display them. It should be based on the number of restaurants under that name.

That's like a whole loaf! That blows my mind. I went to Texas last year and ate at some BBQ places. They asked me if I wanted bread with my order of brisket or whatever, I said yes, and they hand you a half loaf of white bread. I didn't know what to do so every time after that I just asked for 2 pieces like I was the crazy one

Less Scotch Bonnets, more Thai chilis and lower Scoville peppers for flavor. More sting, less long burn.

Have you done anything with Carolina Reapers? My 12 yo daughter wanted to grow some last year. We got 3 plants. The pods would drop off about 3 days after flowering. We ended up only getting 3 fully developed peppers. I was afraid to touch them let alone put one in my mouth. I have no tolerance for anything hotter than a peperoncini.

I really like hot food. But a few years ago I did a spicy wing challenge after a race. I crushed it, got the shirt, went home. Periodically throughout the day I would get swept over in waves of pain. Drop you to your knees pain. It would abate, and resume again at some interval. Then I peed. It burnt like I'd never imagine. I was certain I was going to end up in the ER. I swore off spicy challenges after that.

No, but they sound like a variety of ghost peppers, which I use. If you get a bumper crop next year, send me some and I'l send you some of the dried ground blend.

Hot food is best. When I eat Vietnamese food the place I go to makes it like they prefer to but hardly do for white people, it makes me sweat!

<3 super spicy food, it drives my wife crazy because she thinks I "ruin" everything by making it too spicy. There is a Jamaican place here that makes a goat curry that is at that level of hot where you sort of have to gulp it because you can't bear to have it in your mouth for long enough to chew. There's a faux-mexican place that makes ghost pepper brownies, too, but they are a little poseury. For an afternoon snack I will mix jalapenos and greek yogurt.

I will send you them all. And you can keep that infernal blend of yours. I got snout full of it when I was in Cali. Thinking about the smell of it at 3 inches away makes my eyes water to this day.

Was browsing a photo album of from a time trial I participated in this past weekend and just noticed this

I know the promoters said they wouldn't be doing any bike checks but I'm thinking this guy just raced on an e-bike. Pretty, sly of him!

I accept that Merckx took stimulants (and possibly roids), but literally putting a motor on your bike seems to take the category too far.

That's a joke, right? I can't believe no one would notice, so he just did the tt and it didn't count.

RIGHT!?

how do they work? is it possible to just pedal and turn off the assist so it doesn't kick in?

aero trumps a motor. that new giro helmet saves more watts than the aero deficit of that big thing where a bottle should be. sheesh.
