Hmmm...
So what do you think it is? The mono-stays look quite interesting.

The lamp is probably a red herring, and doesn't belong with the bike. It looks like a wall lamp to me.

The plastic handlebar grip might date it to post 1950 or so, although perhaps slightly earlier.

they are very rare and they can easliy be restored
If it is an old English 3-speed, there are quite a few around depending on the exact model. However, this bike is so rough that one would have to use a "donor bike" for a restoration. Still, I imagine it has a brighter future as yard art instead of restoration.

That was my thought also. The grip, the stem, the straight tubing, and the rear hub looks like it has a coaster brake. So yes, something like 70 years off in that date estimate.

Schwinn P15 Deluxe Touring Paramount 61cm 1979 | eBay

If you want to sell your bike, especially at top dollar, it would be good to take photos of the bike rather than the water bottle cage.

I see, lots of close-ups, but no overall photo.

I would also say that dirt and grime is not "Patina", but rather a sign of a lazy seller.

Perhaps there is an advantage of getting an unrestored "barn fresh" bike, but I still would wipe it down a bit.

Ahhh, yes, that one.
The Wacky World of Craigslist and eBay Ads - $16,000 destroyed Raleigh Super Course

I was wondering about the photo he included in the packing ad. Now it all makes more sense.

So, since the bike damage wasn't caused by shipping, does his video actually protect one's bike from an APE with a sledgehammer?

I don't see what's wrong with this bike. Just looks like a Hetchins to me.

Well, since Ken Kesey is a wacky local author (who has now passed), one could make up any claim about him Too bad I don't have a bike signed by him

I can say that I rode my Colnago to high school where I wrestled his nephew Kit Kesey. Does that count? I don't think he ever really liked me

I've always thought the name name of the handlebars should be listed in the title of the listing. Thus, whatever I attach my Cinelli bars to will become a Cinelli.

One would think that any seller dreaming of a big payoff would at least replace the handlebar tape. Are the tires flat?
