Trek 750 Multitrack without fork braze-ons
I'm looking at a Trek 750 Multitrack I found yesterday. I've been trying to find one for a while. It's a white frame, red letter 750, which should be a 1992 model according to Vintage Trek. The odd thing about it is the front forks do not have the braze-ons for a front rack. This is the first 750 Multitrack I've seen without the fork braze-ons. Have any of you guys come across one like this?

I have a black 750 from either 91 or 92. It has fork tabs on the wheel mounts (down by the hub), but no mid leg mounts if that is what you mean.
Is yours the Suntour equipped model with Express shifters?

Yes, it is Suntour equipped. The mid fork eyelets is what I'm talking about. Everything seems to be original on the bike except the front wheel. The fork is also original, but it's the first one I've seen (on a 750) without the eyelets.

I've got a 1990 750 and it has the braze ons at the drop outs on the fork and the mid leg mounts. Might have changed, but it does look like in the Trek Catalogue all the braze ons are there.

I have not seen a 7XX newer than 1990 with the mid fork mounts despite them being shown as such in the trek catalogs.

If you really want to blow your mind, head over to the hybrid forum. There's a whole thread on Trek Multitracks.
