When you ship tires, specifically ones that don't fold, how to you go about packing them? The Trek I just picked up has brand new 23c Conti Ultra Sports, and I kinda wanna toss them for some 28s.

Sometimes she coils them up really tight and rigs them inside a tiny box so it's like the old 'snakes in a peanut can' gag when someone opens it.

Scrod, do you own any Chrome gear? Do you think they're worth th expensiveness, compared with other messenger bag companies that make a similar quality product?

Scrod,
Here's my question:
Two small pitchers and one large pitcher can hold 8 cups of water. One large pitcher minus one small pitcher constitutes 2 cups of water. How many cups of water can each pitcher hold?

I am nowhere near being Scrod or even Scrod-like, but I felt compelled to add my two cents, and, for what it's worth, I think Chrome bags (the ones made in USA) are worth every penny. As for price, I think they're a great price if you compare them to Freight Baggage or Mission Workshop. I own three Chrome bags (Citizen, Metropolis, and the Warsaw), and I love them. The only one I owned and promptly sold, because it sucked was the Soyuz (terrible design and crappy velcro). As for the clothes, I think those are a bit pricey for what they are. However, I do like my Forged Rubber sneakers.

I used to hire smart people like you who could solve problems w/o resorting to the crutch of a computer. It also proves that you didn't forget everything you learned in school after graduation.

I've got a lot of Chrome stuff and it really is quite good for the money, especially considering there's a lot of other bags on the market for much more money (i.e. Mission Workshop).
The Barrage is one of their best bags IMO. Their shoes don't fit me because I have super wide feet and the majority of their clothes (while very well-made) don't really appeal to me. I do have a De Haro windbreaker that I'm really fond of on night rides, though.

I've only seen them in black. Check out bikehubstore.com, they may have something very similar available in red.

Scrod, you know of any stems outside of Thompson/Nitto/Ritchey that are 1 1/8 31.8 and silver? Trying to find one for the cross bike and only options I see are crappy dimension ones or high end ones and trying to find a middle ground.
