We use photo sites like Flickr or Photobucket. These sites have a "sharing" feature, that generates html, bbcode, and more. Then you just paste the bbcode into your post. Replacing the square brackets with curly brackets, the bbcode looks like this:

Heh. And it did something weird with my curly brackets at that. I meant to say I'd replace the square brackets with curly ones, so you could see the bbcode text, but I overshortened, and probably dangled a modifier somewhere...

There are a number of paved of county roads north of Grand Junction, Colorado, which pass many farms and housing developments, and are great for road biking. One of the best of the ranches is located near I-1/2 and 24 road. They've put up some trees, a bench, a water fountain and a geocache just for bikers. First, there's a welcome sign: Got water?
then an invitation to come rest a while,
and the promised water, which is cool and refreshing on a hot day,
And finally a bench. I fixed a flat here a couple of weeks ago.

I rode out around Grand Junction in June and would totally agree. Might be a place I look to retire to one day.

A few pictures from my ride this weekend to Fort Hoskins Historical Park located in the foothills of the Oregon coast range. It is a beautiful location, but definitely a thought provoking place.

Thanks for the offer! While I was out riding a met a couple that had done the same thing. The only drawback was it was several hours from a connecting airport, like Salt Lake City, but that really wouldn't bother me at all. So, if I were interested what area might I consider for housing?

--Later: Whoops, I can't send private messages until I have 50 posts. OK. There are several areas to look at for housing here; we live in the northern part of Grand Junction, but Fruita and Palisade are also good choices.

Fall Colors in the Sourlands
Fall Colors on November 1, 2015. It was a great day for a ride - warm enough for just bike shorts and a jersey. The photo is in the Sourlands (New Jersey) on Servis Road looking towards the east. Hollow Road is towards the bottom of the photo.

This was on our Coast 2 Coast ride on Oct 23-25. From left to right, my riding buddy Tony, another Tony (but way more famous) and my buddy Lou.
These ladies could really move. There were only two males on this team at first (I'm the short one) and I was the sweep - best position in this group.
That famous Tony guy (right) and his wife, Lauren, riding behind him. It always looked as if her helmet was going to fall off of her NBC Sports cap that she wore throughout the ride.

I've always admired famous Tony. Stand up guy. I heard him talk in Charlotte not long after the death of his son. That has to be one of the toughest thing a parent can go through.
