Don't worry it happens to all of us at times. The best part is...you try and email someone posting a bike like on CL and try and tell them it is AFU.....they'll deny it and say it was made that way! LOL

That's funny because my Bottechia is likely on the block too but I'm looking for a Centurion Elite (or Turbo) . . . but in 56cm.

Maybe a Bay Area BF/CR swap meet is in order. Emphasis on swap.

Interesting. You're thinking of selling your Bottecchia's and I just acquired my 2nd one. Very nice bikes.

Yeah, the Bottechia is very nice rider and an even better looker. The only reason I'm considering selling is because it's Aelle, which I think rides great but decreases its value. Since my little collection is going to max out at about 10 bikes, it makes sense to always trade up, so I'll be on the lookout for a higher-end model.

Schwinn road bike--great city bike!! - $100 (Jamaica Plain)

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap
(google map)

condition: excellent
make / manufacturer: Schwinn
Early 1990s Schwinn road bike. In great condition with minimal surface scratches. All parts are working and has a great ride. I put a rack on it for commuting. Not sure of dimensions, but most likely ideal for a rider around 5'8", though I am 6 feet and rode it for a long time.

Serious inquiries only please.
Let me know if interested.

Yes its pretty nice the only reason its on the list is i have not had it long (not super attached yet) and its slightly too big for me.

That Windsor is up to 275, he's doing some kind of auction. I see he has a Kestral in Bike parts way too cheap also.

Lol figures. He told me come and get it when ad was $85 and we set up a meeting time and everything. Was about to leave. Doubt he'll honor it, but I'll ask.

The one problem with this thread I guess.

Edit: Yep, he just cancelled our meet saying he's getting higher offers.

Literally my least favorite kind of seller.

Have had this happen a few times, but I usually walk as soon as the seller tells me they want more than the original asking price. Not worth the trouble (usually).

Yeah I had one of those a few weeks ago. Bike was at $40. While trying to figure out a good time to meet, seller says the person selling it wants more now. I said forget it. Nice bait.

Not sure where he's getting 54cm? That bike is much taller than 54cm (which I ride BTW).
