Been away from BF and biking for a couple of months. No excuses. Time to get back in the groove.

Holy smokes! I did 960 one month but to be honest, I wimped out on the last 40. After the 960, it didn't matter anymore!

Got some time so I hope you make it, quite an accomplishment!

15 mile night ride with 1500 ft of gain tonight. A bit chilly but somebody has to do it!

258 for the month with 6,318 ft of gain.

Thanks for the kudos! I think I'm on track here, but looking back, I wish I had ridden some on those first two days of the month. If I didn't have a full time job, this would be a lot easier as well!

I hear ya! The year I had the 960 month, I was working nights so it was easier to get in rides in the morning as the wife worked days.

But after 3 years of high mileage, I realized I'd rather spend more time with my wife than my bike.

Personal inspriation to keep charging happened yesterday. I blasted up this particular segment and averaged 370W at 165BPM, setting a PR. I went back and looked at my next fastest time ( i usually cruise this area).. The next fastest was 318W at 168BPM average heart rate. It was 367 days ago, so that is a 16.3% year over year power inrease.

Another hour in the saddle. Month total 21 hours and 57 miles for a @TrojanHorse PoundSignEpic 2.73 mph average.
21 hours at 200W average and that's all I got sparky

Finished that 14 miles. 1000 miles done for the month along with 42,000 feet of climbing! Glad thats over! Didn't really lose any weight for the month. still around 210.

Trying to stick to dialing back the total distance, it's sorta working, a little.

894.1 miles
56.5 hours
31,727ft^

Four rides in various degrees of rain, and 3 in horrific wind. I guess the upside is that the wind and the rain don't tend to occur on the same days.

Intensity versus volume? Worked for me. I averaged about 10 hr/week last year. perhaps 20-25% in Z2 or less.

Yeah, I'm trying to mix up the intensity, at the very least. Last year, I fell into the habit of doing ride after ride at an upper-Z2 pace, for just weeks and weeks. Wouldn't get my HR up into Z4 for more than a few moments, if at all. I'm trying to mix in a 90% day once a week, and it actually seems to be happening, much as I don't love it when it's happening. Also trying to keep the 50+ milers to maybe once a week (that's working out less well.)

My inner chubby guy likes food (a lot) so whether fast or long, it's +9,000kJ a week or else.

Only managed 83.9 miles for January. Was a terrible month for riding. Way too much going on at work. Hoping for a better February!
