Purchase the X large or Jumbo inseam is mutant for my height
I'm going to buy the Cannondale Quick SL 3 in either the X-large or Jumbo. The dealer looked at me and said that the X-large will probably work. He said it will come down to my inseam. He doesn't have any in the store in either size for me to try. Is there a way to determine based on my body measurements what the proper size is?
My Height 6' 2"
Inseam (using the book up the crotch to the bone method) is 92.7 cm. I looked at other posts on this site and didn't find anyone who was 6' 2" with an inseam close to that long.
Trunk (sitting on the floor back against the wall floor to top of shoulder) is 71 cm.
Forearm (elbow to clenched fist holding pen) is 38 cm.
Arm (bony point at top of shoulder to clenched hand holding pen) is 70 cm.
The standover height at the middle of the top tube is:
X-large 81.3 cm My inseam would be 4.5" over the top tube
Jumbo 86.2 cm My inseam would be 2.5" over the top tube
Since the Jumbo will give me 2.5" clearance at the middle of the top tube, does that mean the Jumbo is the correct size?
I would think the Jumbo would be for really tall people like 6'4" and above.
With the larger frame, would I be leaning over more to reach the handlebar. I wanted to be more upright.
Any help would be appreciated.

Jumbo. I have exactly the same inseam as you. That geometry is weird, those bikes show a ton of seatpost. Don't want to have to jack that up even higher on a smaller bike. You will be leaning over more on the larger one, but that can be adjusted for a more upright posture with a shorter stem and/or riser bars. Your arms are slightly longer than mine, too - I would worry that you would feel cramped on the XL. Even if not at first, it might become apparent down the road, when you'll have to spend $$ to fix it. If the LBS insists on having you order a frame without riding it first, the least they can do is offer to swap out stems and handlebars to fit it to you a little better. If they can't do this, you should go elsewhere.
