Giant Riders Unite! Show off your Giant!

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What size Gatorskins are you running? Looks like 25s? Man, I'm still on the fence about getting this bike in a few months. I've been back and forth on a few different bikes and this one is definitely up there. I bet it rides nicely!

Yep they are 25's you can fit 28's but if your wheel becomes untrue the tire will go into you chain stays. I love this bike it has a great blend of stiffness yet comfortable to ride. You won't regret buying this bike

Anyone seen the new 2017 Defy Advance 3 in the flesh?

I was able to ride the Defy Advanced 2 at my LBS, but the color combo (ant price really) makes me want to lean towards the Advanced 3. Giant marketing pictures never quite seem to look like they do in the real world.

This is the one I am talking about ...

The components are better on the 2 and that I believe outweighs the color. The color of the 2 is not to bad and the 1 I like, the 3 is just all black.

I had a 2016 Giant Defy 3 for a few months, and it was stolen from me in a bank while I was pulling out my rent money! Bike was 20 ft from me :/ chased him through the parking lot, but he got away. Just can't wait to get back over a great road bike. This Giant Simple 7 beach cruiser is roughhh

My custom 2014 Propel Advanced:

Sorry, it seems that it's lacking its front wheel.

In 2009, I bought my first road bike, a Defy 3. A bit later I upgraded to Rival:

In 2013 I bought a 2008 TCR Advanced 0 ISP with Campy, and swapped my Rival and bar/stem setup:

I eventually sold the stock Defy. Earlier this year, I sold a second vehicle to purchase a new-to-me Propel Advanced Pro SRAM Red 22 build:

I still ride the TCR occasionally. I often miss the car... until I ride the Propel.

Practice makes perfect. Seriously, I think that blue and white Propel could be the most handsome mass-market bike ever.
