I need some good reading material to help me plan for an upcoming tour.
Anything from Bicycle maintenance to Touring blogs,
Or anything that you found helpful.
Thanks in advance!

Dervla Murphy's "Full Tilt: Ireland to India with a Bicycle". It may not be your planned route, but it may inspire you to keep going. A beautiful read, albeit from a different era.

Best thing to do is just start reading. Before my first tour back in '98, I went to the library looking for books on touring (this was just at the beginning of the internet era and I hadn't discovered it yet). Turned out there weren't ANY, so I read the other books - how to properly cycle, bike maintenance (which you'll need the basics of if you don't know yet), foods, etc. Learned a lot. Then I went to the bookstores to see what they had, but again, nothing on touring. Read everything you can and talk to everyone you can. You'll learn what to believe and what not to. You can start with crazyguyonabike (mentioned above and one of the most popular sites), lonelyplanet's branch for biking (not nearly as popular as it used to be due to formatting) and of course just searching for whatever topic you want.
