Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Should be a good time riding gravel and there will be three or maybe four Trail Donkey 3.0 bikes present to eyeball and touch. One person has already offered a test ride on actual gravel roads but his bike is a bit big for me.

Back to the bike itself, I like how they provide the Di2 wiring diagram and actual Shimano part numbers. https://www.rodeo-labs.com/td3-di2-wiring-diagrams/

I'm going to be experimenting with Absolute Black subcompact 46-30 chainrings and an XT 11-42 cassette with Ultegra RX-805 GS derailleur. At least one person says it works "Like a champ" on his Lynskey. If it works on my Niner then everything could be swapped to a TD3.0 frame pretty easily from a mechanical perspective.

Not so easy to swap from a financial perspective. Damn, that thing is expensive.

Who cares if it is a bit big. Give it a ride, take one for the forum, also pics.

I am running a Di2 805 RD with a Sram 10-42 cassette and Sram MTB cranks 38/24 had no problems with installation, no adjustment needed
(except maybe the B screw) just hooked it all up and rode it, it works great. One reason I think the RD works with the large cassette is it has an extra link between the derailleur part and the mount.

that is the best way to get an inaccurate feel of the bike. :'( Some people won't care, but they also probably already riding ill fitting boat anchors anyways. Don't do it!

expense is irrelevant after the fact. Buy what you like, and buy what you want. Live happy, riding the bicycle you want to be riding.

Interesting. Thanks for the info.

@BuTbKa is running RX805 with 46/30 front and 11/42 rear without the Wolftooth link.

I really want to try this and just got my state income tax refund so...

I spent some quality time in their booth at the Sea Otter. Very nice, helpful people. I am quite interested in getting that fork (Spork 2.0) onto my current bike, but the bikes themselves are the main attraction, and look even better in person than in the photos. There were so many people at Sea Otter that a test ride would have been impossible, and I wasn't dressed for it. These are extremely well-made bikes.

I'm thinking of replacing the Enve gen 1. CX fork on my current bike with the Spork 2.0 (and using the Enve on my kid's bike, which has an inferior fork). I posted separately about that but got no feedback.
