Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

It's about 2 weeks old. I've had it off rode once, but had a blast so can't wait for some real or close to real cyclocross. 2009 Cannondale CX9:

Finally got it built up, and it needs a shakedown ride or three, but here it is:

It is a 2008 Fetish Ankh. Picked up from eBay for a song.
4Za fork (another eBay steal)
Cane Creek IS-3 headset
9-speed Shimano mishmash group: 48/39 x 12/27
Open Pro/ Ultegra wheels with Kenda Kwick tires (I think I'll want to go bigger and knobbier for fall)
Ritchey seatpost, stem, and bars.
Good ol' Selle Italia Flite saddle.
(Oh, and that weird thing on the seatpost is the hitch for my daughter's trail-a-bike.)

There is a Thursday night cross ride along the river if you want a true shakedown.

At the Guy West Bridge and rides to Bradshaw and back. If you have a headlight, bring it. I probably can't make this Thursday but I will be there next Thursday. Also, there is a skills class this Tues and next at William Pond Park.

Finally done. 2007 Jamis Reynolds 853 frame that I found in a shop and traded for. Set up more for commuting, but still plan to race it.
