Glue edges of tire while on rim?

Glue edges of tire while on rim?
When I let air out of my tires to about 20 PSI and put a lot of weight on them I can make the seam between the rim and the tire open up. I just did a race in these in the race felt good in the bike handled fine. But maybe I should improve this glue job. Can I add more glue now or do I have to take the tire off and reglue it. It kind of looks like the base tape is coming off the casing. FMB tire.

can i flow glue into the crack?
what if the base tape is coming off, how to deal w that in a reasonable way. that is, can i glue it back on w my tubie glue, Vitt Mastik One? I don't have no Barge Cement.

You might get away with adding glue if everything stays dry in that tire's world pretty much forever. But once you get moisture in there, it will keep separating even if you add glue now. I'll bet there are other spots close to coming loose. Reglue.

It looks like your base tape is pulling away. Don't know much about cross, but I do tubulars. That is bad.
You can take the tubular off (peal it so the base tape comes with it) and reattach base tape with contact cement. In general - you got trouble.
Kinda off topic - but similar.
There is a trend to over glue tubulars. Over glue means the tape comes off the tires and stays to the rim. That also happens on old tires, such as in the picture. The issue with using tubular cement to hold the base tape on is, depending on glue job it may pull away too.
Mfgs use latex based glue, contact cement and other stuff.
As I said, I'm new to cross setups, but it is an area I think tape (Tufo, FMB) might be good, esp with the low pressure used.

It's best to over glue CX tubulars imho and when they come unglued it always starts right at the edges. I like to see squeeze out along the edge of my CX glue ups. Whne they start to lossen up like that I just Mastik One for the tire and base tape. You will never get those off in one piece so you may as well get as much life out of it as you can. The trick to getting them off is to use a heat gun, but even so...
