I'm in SoCal, near my mom's in Rancho Cucamonga, a sprawling suburban bedroom community, and I swear consumerism rules the land. There are literally 8 or so shopping centers/outdoor malls in the area and their parking lots are all filled to capacity. Man, it wasn't this congested 2 years ago.

Happy Christmas Eve, everyone.

Note to self for next year: Don't wait until Christmas eve to get fresh crab for Christmas dinner. There is none!

Potlucks are great! If I could join you, I'd make something using jumbo shrimp or fresh trout.
