Stopped by the house on the test ride to introduce the Duc to her soon-to-be new stablemate.
Won't take delivery until after my wife and I get back from vacation in a couple of weeks, but put a deposit down on a '13 Bianchi Zurigo. It'll be my first pedal bike of any kind, but narrowed it down to a cross bike as a way to get into offseason endurance & leg training for my sportbike track/race hobby. A cross bike will give me a few options for riding/training. Also gear shopping before taking delivery so I have the proper riding attire for the cooler season....before the snow falls.

Fresh from having the steerer cut, I took it from the LBS straight to Alpenrose Dairy to race it...my new 2013 Kona Jake the Snake singlespeed.

The frame has a PF30 BB shell, and I'm using a Problem Solvers E46 eccentric bottom bracket.

I've three bikes that can serve as gravel grinders with the appropriate tires -- Ritchey Breakaway Cross, Bob Jackson World Tour and Waterford RST-22.

^ Love the look of the Ritchey bike.
Just finished building my cross / gravel grinder bike tonight. I say both because I'm not sure yet which it will be better suited to. We don't have a lot of gravel roads / paths around these parts ... unless poor asphalt with no shoulders qualifies.

Not sure how I missed this thread before. Gravel-grinding is a fun way to challenge your bike-handling skills and explore the roads less taken. Thankfully, we have lots of gravel here in the Midwest.

Seriously though, that is a really sharp looking bike. I love those Campy black and red parts. I stole the idea and put red chainring bolts on the 105 crank on my road bike.

When I bought the frame I didn't realize that the frame was a mix of road and cross geometry. The chain stay length is quite short and accommodates the 30c cross tire, and I have a 35c up front. Thanks for the compliment. It took 5 months to build. I'm just sorry that it's the end of the season and won't get to ride it much. Something to look forward to for next spring.

LOVE IT, the braking is so good and have spoiled me so much that I now think the 6700 Ultegra brakes on my Roubaix suck. The modulation and power cannot be matched by a caliper brake, no regrets.

Trek Ion CX Pro frame, with Shimano 105-based 1x10 gearing (38 up front, 11-28 in the back) and a Paul chain keeper. Running tubeless 32mm Vittoria knobbies on (last year's) Ultegra wheels. Brakes are TRP CX8.4 Mini-Vs (which are insaaaaaane).
What a wicked bike. I've been rolling through post-typhoon debris this past week or so like it's nothing.
