Charge Plug Freestyle
So i just bought a bike from airbomb and im sure its an error in pricing but they have the charge plug freestyle complete bike listed for $85. Its $600-$800 evrywhere else. Should be interesting to see if they honor the price or refund the money

Well, at 8:49 EDT, they have it listed at over $500.00 now, so perhaps they caught their pricing. Let us know how this works out for you! Looks like you may have gotten a great deal!

Typically sites will have a terms and conditions section which will state that they will not be held for pricing errors. I can't find anything like that on airbomb.com but that doesn't mean they have to honor it. Also, I don't know how state law applies in this situation since it is an Internet site, or even it if would be applicable if you're not also in CA.
Either way, I doubt they are obligated to honor the price but maybe they will as to not generate a major customer service issue such as a state attorney general or BBB complaint.

Hmm..They refunded my money and sent me an email.
Should I pursue going after the original $85 or settle for a bike at cost?
Unfortunately, we have found a typo on our website that allowed potential customer to see the price for a Plug Freestyler complete bike as being only $85. The actual MSRP is set at $749. We acknowledge this jump in price is a surprise to you as well as a problem, and in order to try and make it up to you, our valued customer, we are willing to sell you this bike at the very low price of $485. This is a limited time offer that exists only for you. From all of us at Beyond Bikes, we are sorry for any confusion!

How would you go after the original $85 price? What leverage do you possess to force them to do that?

Well according to the attorney general if you buy something for a given price then its yours. Online or otherwise. I have a receipt that says i paid for it. But im sure i'd have to jump through hoops to get the bike. I'd have to contact my attorney general and the one in the state it was sold. Also the BBB for both states. Then the consumer division investigates. Blah blah blah....But if I do all that i can get the bike for that price and the company may lose their business license.

That's it. If you got a confirmation, they have accepted your offer. If not, decide whether you want to accept their counteroffer, or not. A pricing error doesn't make a contract by itself.
