We just got our new to us Tandem Trike

We used to have a nice DF Trek Recreational Tandem back in 2011 but due to my Reiter's Syndrome (arthritis), causing problems with my knees from holding up a passenger and a heavier tandem we had to sell it off, we still hoped we'd get a tandem in the future. Well in 2019 we bought a "used" Terra Trike Rover with a "used" Tandem extension kit from Angletech and we are SO HAPPY to be back as a Tandem Team!

Our LBS sold them before they went under. A local couple bought one where the wife was very heavy. She lost quite a bit of weight and they rode it across the country.
Good deal!

Awesome!

Congratulations and enjoy!

No more ass-hatchetry for you and your partner! The speed on the flats and descents must be incredible!

Please post after you've gotten some "chair-time" to let us know how it's going!

Edit: I apologize for my excessive use of exclamation points. Unacceptable!

Well, it's Terra Trikes "recreational level" trike tandem, (70 lbs.) so it's not fast, although it does FLY downhill! We've put 100 miles on it and so far we are VERY happy with this rig! The gearing is a bit limited as it uses a Efneo 3 speed drive (internal) instead of a "triple chain wheel" and a NuVinci S330 CVT rear hub (internal) instead of a "cassette and rear derailleur" set up. Down the road we will either add, a Rolfoff 14 speed IG hub to replace the NuVinci 330 or just add "E-assist". We are 60+ and could use the "lower" gearing or E-assist for HILLS here in Colorado Springs, CO. Efneo 3 speed drive unit Enviolo CT series CVT rear hub (NuVinci S330 CVT rear hub)
