February, sweet. Is there going to be a Hey-Stop-Looking-At-My-Fat-Ass category? I'm planning on bringing about 10 extra lbs to the race.

free pint glasses for the first 25 people to register.

i realize that someone else reposted, I figured I would bump this to keep everything all together.

I'm in it to win it ... and by win it I mean place in the bottom 50%. I'm signed up for the 4 race right now. Trying to decide whether or not to buy a 20+ tooth freewheel and ride the SS race on my 700x23ed Centurion conversion.

I FORGOT!!!
I can't believe I forgot about registration and missed the pint glasses. Crapola.
Double race day - still trying to figure out exactly which bike/s to use.

Planning on it. I'd get to sleep in, drive like twenty minutes to the race venue, and then hit the really good, meaty kosher restaurant in the area (Pita Plus).

Hey everyone. Here's an update.
If you are from out of town and are not sure if you want to come out for "CX my Heart", now there's one more reason to do so. get a full weekend in because...
You can race SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.
Saturday is the SNOTCYCLE. A Mountain Bike Race Held on the course for the Leesburg Bakers Dozen. Last year a guy did the 12 hour enduro race on a cross bike. you have to dismount a couple times but it is VERY do-able. There is a Singlespeed class too. Nice rolling course, hilly but no death climbs. The promoter has already said that a few people have contacted him about riding it on a cx bike.

One Week away!
A large gang spent the day grooming the course yesterday and then we took a couple pics.
imagine your friends on the bridge cheering you on or heckling you.
the energy sapping mulch!

UPDATE:
It WAS awesome!!!
I raced it today, and loved every challenging minute of it. The guys at Proteus really did outdo themselves with the race. The venue was great, the atmosphere as fun and social as a CX race can get, and the best part was the course; creative, challenging, excellent flow, fast, and fun (and muddy. very, very muddy).
Great job, and I hope this race happens again next year.

Fun day. Took many pictures. They will be posted at www.cxhairs.com or my flickr page. So far I've made it through the B race at the barriers and a couple selected doozies. Ryan can explain this one.

Nice shot. Only Ryan can make an endo look cool, but I give him mad props for attempting the bunny hop in the first place.
